Improving Worksite Safety Culture
In 2019, Gran Tierra implemented several programs aimed at major changes in worksite safety culture and improved safety training. As a result of this effort, 2019 was the safest year in company history in terms of Lost Time Injuries Frequency (LTIF) and Total Recordable Injury Frequency (TRIF). In 2019, GTE:
h Achieved the lowest TRIF and LTIF rates in the history of the company
h Outperformed by 80% the most recent benchmark (International Association of Oil & Gas Producers (IOGP) widely used by the Latin American Industry
h Strengthened the safety culture throughout the organization while hours worked grew to over 360% of 2016 levels
h Implementedmultipletechnologies to improve work management and reduce risk tolerance
