Helping local suppliers become more visible and connecting them with national and international contractors.
 5. OPERATIONAL GROWTH & EXCELLENCE: Conducting performance evaluations for technical, HSE, social management and administrative proficiency.
  In 2018, contracts worth over $3.1 billion COP were executed with 12 local companies in Puerto Limón, a town with a population of less than 2,000 people, most of whom are Afro-Colombians or of Indigenous descent.

  INVESTMENTS IN LOCAL GOODS AND SERVICES
    GTE’s Workforce Programs Recognized by ANH
On July 19, 2018, GTE won two awards as part of an initiative by the ANH, Colombia’s National Hydrocarbons Agency, and the Ministry of Mines and Energy, to identify and recognize the best social practices in the country.
Sixty companies submitted over 100 projects in four categories. GTE projects won two categories: Labour Management and Supply Chain.
• ANH recognized “From Challenges to Opportunities” as the top example of a labour practice strengthening sustainable local development and community relations.
• The “Key Partners” program was recognized as the best example of responsible supply chain management successfully engaging local contractors.
